Auckland Museum - a truly spectacular venue

Situated above the Waitemata Harbour in the lush grounds of Auckland Domain, Auckland Museum provides a spectacular venue for events. With its striking neo-classical architecture and majestic columns, the Museum is one of Auckland's premier event locations.

Fashion parades, book launches, cocktail parties, seated dinners, lectures and weddings all occur at Auckland Museum. A spectacular Maori cultural performance can be arranged to welcome your guests to the Museum. A special after-hours viewing or tour of our major exhibitions combined with drinks or dinner is also available.

VENUE OPTIONS

From the grandeur of the Museum's marble Grand Foyer to the newly opened Event Centre with its magnificent views of the city and harbour through to the more intimate and themed spaces of individual galleries, the Museum offers a unique party experience.

ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS

Pamper your guests with Museum special themes and packages. Treat them to special highlight tours, Maori cultural performances or private views of special exhibitions.

WEDDINGS

Auckland Museum provides an elegant venue for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. The neo-classical Grand Foyer can be set for a ceremony after 5 PM and reset for dinner while guests enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the Museum steps or in a themed gallery. The rooftop Event Centre with its stunning views offers another option. This can be used in conjunction with the Atrium to offer a similar ceremony, drinks and reset for dinner option.
